HARYANA GOVERNMENTTRANSPORT DEPARTMENTNOTIFICATIONThe 4 th May, 2010No. S.O.66/C.A.59/1988/S.99/2010.- Whereas a notification No. S.O. 46/ C.A59/ 1988/S.99/2010, dated the 11 th March, 2010 was issued by the Haryana Government, TransportDepartment under sub-section (1) of section 99 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act59 of 1988), in supersession of the Haryana Government, Transport Department, notificationNo. S.O.90/C.A.59/88/S.100/93, dated the 3 rd November, 1993, formulating a proposalregarding the Haryana Transport Policy, 2010;And whereas the said policy has not been published in the newspapers asrequired under sub-section (1) of section 99;Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) ofsection 99 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988), the Governor ofHaryana hereby makes the following amendment in the Haryana Government, TransportDepartment, notification No. S.O.46/C.A.59/1988/S.99/2010, dated the 11 th March, 2010 andpublishes it in the Official Gazette for information of persons likely to be affected thereby. Itis further notified that the following amendment in the said notification will be taken intoconsideration after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date of publication of thisnotification in the Official Gazette together with any objections/suggestions which may befiled by any person affected by the proposed amendment, before the FinancialCommissioner and Principal Secretary to Government, Haryana, Transport Department,Chandigarh, within the aforesaid period of thirty days.AMENDMENTIn the Haryana Government, Transport Department, notification No. S.O46/C.A.59/1988/S.99/2010, dated the 11 th March, 2010, for sub-clause (b) of clause 10, thefollowing sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:-“(b) Procedure of allotment to 1993 scheme operations:- The existing permitholders of the 1993 scheme shall be given preference over the new applications for theallotment of permit under the scheme of 2010. Once the option/preference given by thepermit holders of the scheme of 1993, are satisfied under the new scheme of 2010, onlythereafter, new applicants shall be considered for allotment of remaining permits under thenew scheme”.SAMIR MATHURFinancial Commissioner and Principal Secretary toGovernment, Haryana, Transport Department.
