16permit bus is not put back on the route within 30 days after theaccident/breakdown, the permit shall be liable to be cancelled and shall be allottedafresh after following the due procedure.15. Performance, permit conditions and responsibility <strong>of</strong> the privateoperator.- The private operator shall ensure at all time that the permit is beingoperated strictly in terms <strong>of</strong> the provisions <strong>of</strong> the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, CentralMotor Vehicles Rules, 1989, and the <strong>Haryana</strong> Motor Vehicle Rules, 1993, asamended from time to time, and instructions/ directions/orders issued by theCentral/State <strong>Government</strong>/State Transport Authority/Regional Transport Authority/Secretary, Regional Transport Authority from time to time. He shall ensure that thepermit is operated strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions enumeratedin this <strong>policy</strong>.16. Notice for withdrawal <strong>of</strong> bus.- A private operator before hesurrenders a permit shall give a minimum thirty days notice in writing for finalwithdrawal <strong>of</strong> the bus from operations. A surrendered permit shall be cancelledforthwith. State Transport Authority may, at any time, in accordance with theprocedure laid down in the <strong>policy</strong>, allot a permit on account <strong>of</strong> any vacancy arisingon a route.17. Eligibility criteria.- The following shall be the eligibility criteria,(i)the applicant should be a domicile <strong>of</strong> the State <strong>of</strong> <strong>Haryana</strong>;(ii) The applicant shall be 10 th pass under the 10+2 system forgeneral category and 8 th pass for applicant belonging toScheduled Castes.(iii) the applicant shall be more than 18 years and less than 40years in case <strong>of</strong> general category and shall be more than 18years and less than 45 years in case <strong>of</strong> candidates belonging toScheduled Castes, Backward Classes, Widows or legallyseparated women.(iv)(v)the applicant shall be unemployed; and shall not be employedin State <strong>Government</strong>, Central Govt., Public Central Undertakingor organized Sector/ limited company. Affidavit in this regardshall be submitted by the applicant duly attested.the applicant (in case <strong>of</strong> individual applicant) or at least one <strong>of</strong>the members <strong>of</strong> the Transport Cooperative Society, should holda valid driving license to drive a heavy <strong>transport</strong> vehicle whichshould have been issued at least 6 months prior to the date <strong>of</strong>notification <strong>of</strong> the <strong>policy</strong> and the license should be valid on thedate <strong>of</strong> allotment <strong>of</strong> permit.
