The name of permit holder i.e. name of individual/society shallalso be written with black paint on both sides of the bus. The time table shall bewritten, in paint, near the entrance window of the bus.(iii)(iv)(v)(vi)Principal Dimensions.- To meet the seating requirementsindicated in clause (xi) and subject to relevant provisions ofMotor Vehicles Act/Rules framed thereunder, the chassis shallhave a minimum wheel base of 3500 mm with six tyres andasymmetric head lamps, The Cab floor shall be of 10 SWG(3.25 mm) and 9 M.S. Ribbed sheet and shall be fitted asunder:All aluminum sheets shall be fixed on the floor, with 1/4" dia Rd.Hd. Rivet of adequate length at 125 mm pitch centres.Structure.- Structure of the bus shall be sturdy and strong,structural framework using suitable material of adequatesectional area and an aero dynamical shape. Sound deadening shall also be donefor all panelling including the floor.Passenger entrance and exit.- There shall be separate doorsfor entrance and exit in case of a 52/54 seater bus and only onedoor in case of 30 seater bus. The entrance door shall belocated behind the rear axle and exit door shall be locatedahead of Front axle in Leyland and behind the Front axle inTata Buses. The minimum door opening shall be 610 mm.Emergency doors.- Emergency exit in the form of a doorhinged in the front, shall be provided on the off side of the busand shall be capable of being operated be in from inside andthe outside of the bus or where it is not practicable to have sucha door, an emergency exit from the rear window screen may beprovided hinged at the top. The emergency exit shall beprominently identified in red letter "Emergency Exit" from theinside.(vii) Driver's entry and exit.- A separate door with suitable slidingwindow shall be provided for the driver near the driver's seat.(viii) Wind Screen.-(ix)(a)(b)Front wind screen shall be of clear view and distortionfree with safety glass and shall be of full width of the bus.If made in two halves, the width of the centre vertical jointinclusive of the rubber glazing fitment of the frontwindshield shall be such, as to enhance the elegance ofthe bus.Rear Wind Screen shall be of safety glass or laminatedsafety glass. It shall match with the windows provided onthe vehicle.Windows.- Windows of bus should have a minimum space of50 mm and shall be of safety or laminated safety glass.
