The name <strong>of</strong> permit holder i.e. name <strong>of</strong> individual/society shallalso be written with black paint on both sides <strong>of</strong> the bus. The time table shall bewritten, in paint, near the entrance window <strong>of</strong> the bus.(iii)(iv)(v)(vi)Principal Dimensions.- To meet the seating requirementsindicated in clause (xi) and subject to relevant provisions <strong>of</strong>Motor Vehicles Act/Rules framed thereunder, the chassis shallhave a minimum wheel base <strong>of</strong> 3500 mm with six tyres andasymmetric head lamps, The Cab floor shall be <strong>of</strong> 10 SWG(3.25 mm) and 9 M.S. Ribbed sheet and shall be fitted asunder:All aluminum sheets shall be fixed on the floor, with 1/4" dia Rd.Hd. Sound deadening shall also be donefor all panelling including the floor.Passenger entrance and exit.- There shall be separate doorsfor entrance and exit in case <strong>of</strong> a 52/54 seater bus and only onedoor in case <strong>of</strong> 30 seater bus. The entrance door shall belocated behind the rear axle and exit door shall be locatedahead <strong>of</strong> Front axle in Leyland and behind the Front axle inTata Buses. The minimum door opening shall be 610 mm.Emergency doors.- Emergency exit in the form <strong>of</strong> a doorhinged in the front, shall be provided on the <strong>of</strong>f side <strong>of</strong> the busand shall be capable <strong>of</strong> being operated be in from inside andthe outside <strong>of</strong> the bus or where it is not practicable to have sucha door, an emergency exit from the rear window screen may beprovided hinged at the top. The emergency exit shall beprominently identified in red letter "Emergency Exit" from theinside.(vii) Driver's entry and exit.- A separate door with suitable slidingwindow shall be provided for the driver near the driver's seat.(viii) Wind Screen.-(ix)(a)(b)Front wind screen shall be <strong>of</strong> clear view and distortionfree with safety glass and shall be <strong>of</strong> full width <strong>of</strong> the bus.If made in two halves, the width <strong>of</strong> the centre vertical jointinclusive <strong>of</strong> the rubber glazing fitment <strong>of</strong> the frontwindshield shall be such, as to enhance the elegance <strong>of</strong>the bus.Rear Wind Screen shall be <strong>of</strong> safety glass or laminatedsafety glass. It shall match with the windows provided onthe vehicle.Windows.- Windows <strong>of</strong> bus should have a minimum space <strong>of</strong>50 mm and shall be <strong>of</strong> safety or laminated safety glass.
