Students made aresearch organizer to record their nutrition for aparticular day. They were tasked to record theirbreakfast, lunch, dinner and snack and drinks asthey observe and inform whether it has been abalanced diet.In our data handling activity students were taskedto collect data of the number of tables, chairs anddesk in the classroom and use their data to createa simple graph. They also learned that data is aform of information that can be used in differentforms. In a related activity students conducted asurvey to collect data of the total number ofstudents in the PYP and MYP. It was veryencouraging to see all the students with a positiveresponse towards this project.Students will discuss informed choices and what‘being informed means. Talking about choicesthey make each day that are informed, such aswhat to wear, what to eat, what to do in theirspare time and how to be healthy.English Language Listening and Speaking: Listen andrespond in small and large groups forincreasing period of time Follow classroom instructions, showingunderstandingMathematics Data handling: Understand thatinformation about themselves and theirsurroundings can be collected andrecorded in different waysDemonstrating an action verbEnglish language activities included identifyingverbs. Students learned that verbs are actionwords and the food we eat provides the energy forsuch actions. We also used observe the soundsand movement of some animals to demonstratetheir actions.Physical education was tied to our unit of Inquiryas it was related balance lifestyle.

Duringthese meetings we will set up anIndividual Development Plan for eachstudent.Progress Reports will be sent out atthe end of the school year.On Tuesday MORNINGS and ThursdayMORNINGS. Please ensure your childbrings a P.E. kit, together with toweland soap.
