17 PresentationThe objective of the Presentation project is to provide information about activitiesrelating to the research plan and results achieved. In addition to the actualpresentation activities, we also provide other researchers with support in thisarea. Because of the character of the research plan, we concentrate primarilyon electronic presentation forms.17.1 Web ServerThe basic electronic presentation platform for the research plan is the serverwww.cesnet.cz. Most of the results achieved are available here – either directly,or as links to other servers of the association.The server has three different sections in total:Czech public section: The most extensive section, where we provide publicinformation on the CESNET2 academic network, research plan, andother activities of the association.English public section: This section is intended for our foreign partners andthose who are looking for information. From a thematic point of view,this section is similar to the previous one, though its content is in theEnglish language and its extent is smaller.Private section: This section is used for the internal communication of researchersinvolved in the research plan. Only users who prove theiridentity with the CAAS authentication system are allowed to enter thisserver section.All three sections are based on a common design that connects them visually.However, the sections also differ enough so that a user is able to immediatelyrecognize in which section he/she is currently located.Besides continuous content updates and publishing of new documents, thefollowing more essential changes occurred in the content of the www.cesnet.czserver in 2002:• We have removed the section dedicated to Web proxy cache servers fromthe main menu. This technology is fading away from the environment ofthe academic networks and CESNET does not develop it anymore.• We have significantly reorganized the sections dedicated to the videoconferencing(thematic range was extended to multimedia transmissions ingeneral) and IPv6.184 High-speed National Research Network and its New Applications 2002
