Who prepares EMPs?EMPs should be prepared by an EAD-approved c<strong>on</strong>sultantengaged by the project prop<strong>on</strong>entFor the CEMP, OEMP and DEMP, the c<strong>on</strong>sultant mustinclude:• All of the details and requirements stipulated by EAD, as per theTechnical <str<strong>on</strong>g>Guidance</str<strong>on</strong>g> Documents• Method statements from c<strong>on</strong>tractors undertaking the proposed works(in cases where the c<strong>on</strong>tractor has yet to be selected, the c<strong>on</strong>tractormust indicate their commitment to the approved CEMP at a later date)For the EAP, the c<strong>on</strong>sultant must:• Determine the most appropriate p corrective acti<strong>on</strong>s based <strong>on</strong> theidentified issues, which may include a combinati<strong>on</strong> of engineering oradministrative c<strong>on</strong>trols, and potentially remedial or clean-up activities.• Include a level of detail in the EAP based <strong>on</strong> the significance, impact,number and complexity of the issues and that of the corrective acti<strong>on</strong>snecessary to resolve them.Envir<strong>on</strong>mental <strong>Management</strong> <strong>Plans</strong>4
