UtterlyFABULOUSIf men are from Mars and women are from Venus ...TEau naturalFor the natural look keepcolours very soft and natural.Simple shiny hair, natural look nails and agood natural lip coloursuch as Clinique nude. The key to achieving thisis to remember less is definitelymore and if youwant to be completely naturalgo naked (but you willhave to do one hell of atucking job).Wig from Suzy Wigs atLakeside, ThurrockMake-up Kryolan base, allother make-up from theClinique rangeModel - Lisa BuddCity Business WomanMy advice for this look is to thinkbusiness woman rather than officegirl. Keep base make-up fairly naturalbut strengthen the colours onthe eyes and mouth. Hair should bemore structured, an updo is perfect.Accessories should be few butbold. Clothes should be crisp andtailored, black, gray and red areexcellent colour choices. And don’tforget, an essential to complete thisensemble is a great pair of stylishshoes.Wig from Jacqueline WigsMake-up Kryolan base, all othermake-up by Max FactorClothes from Discount Dressing atthe Hatfield GalleriaAccessories from ‘Accessorise’Shoes from New LookModel - Alicia BlissWhether you like the LizHurley or the Lily Savagelook. DRAG DIVA - Stephanie StarletYOU HAVE JUST PREPARED A NEW SHOW,WHERE CAN OUR READERS SEE IT?Well I’m still deciding dates and venues for my one woman show. The problem is I keep comingup with new ideas and keep adding to it. I’m gonna have to draw the line, no matter what, so Ican get the show on the road. I performed an extract from the show at the WayOut Club a fewweeks ago. I sung my song ‘country girl’ in the character I have called ‘Baby Sue’, (a lovabletrailer-trash slut). Next time the show will include ‘Baby Sues abduction’, a song about alienabduction, its very funny, I’m trying to get a necklaces of little jars with tiny pickled turds manufacturedto sell at the shows, along with her book ‘Baby Sue- An abduction’, as explained in thesong the aliens pickle her turds. See the show at The WayOut Club on 20th Sept 03I HAVE HEARD ONE OF THE NEW NUMBERS AND ITS REALLY GOOD -AND FUNNY - IS THE WHOLE SHOW LIVE AND HOW MUCH MORE ISORIGINAL MATERIAL?Most of the show is completely original material some songs are famous tunes with very differentand sometimes rude lyrics a lot of stand up comedy and lots of glamour of course tons ofcharacter and costume changes, a lot of hard work .YOU’RE BRIGHTON BASED - WHAT’S NEW AROUND YOU ?Yes I’m based in Brighton, what’s new around me is? Well I just finished an eight year relationshipso I am single again. I am DJing all around town but I’m looking for a good new DJ residencyas I’ve just finished one. I am still the reigning ‘Miss Alternative Brighton’ but I hand overmy crown to this year’s winner in a month or so.TELL US ABOUT THE TELEVISION SHOW THAT YOU HOSTED -IS THERE MORE IN THE PIPELINE?There’s talk of the second series of ‘Out of the Closet’ on Gay UK-TV, to befilmed in September, I hope this happens cos I had suchfun on the first series. I am in talks for a televisionpilot show called ‘Sexual Ambassador’ whereI report on the sex industry around the worldand there is talk of me going to the Playboymansion to interview Hugh Heffner. Thatwould be cool, maybe he’ll sign me, (orBaby Sue), up for a shoot ha ha.STEFFAN IS ALWAYS TELLINGUS OF YOUR LONG FRIENDSHIPDISH THE DIRT - HOW, WHERE,WHEN AND WHAT WAS SHELIKE?Steffan (Miss Whitfield ) is a very oldfriend. So old I’d never admit it cos itwould give my age away. She has alwaysbeen a performer as long as I’ve knownher. When she was a chick she used tolook like Brooke Shields and was givingglamour as Marilyn and she was inevery pop video going. We were arrestedtogether once for squatting in a luxuryflat in Edgware road. I got her tocome back one night and we werethrown in the paddy wagon the next morning, itsa long story, but there was a crowd watching outsidethe tube station and as Miss W got in thewagon she turned to them and in her breathiestMarilyn voice said NO PHOTOS PLEASE holdingher hands up as if to shield the flash bulbs. Idon’t think the police knew what to do with us inPaddington. We were released about fivehours later and went to McDonalds to discussthe ordeal I don’t think she ever forgaveme. We have very similar lives thatalmost run parallel me in Brighton herin the smoke, but she does get herass down to the splendour ofBrighton now and again. PersonallyI couldn’t bare to live in Londonagain having tasted Brighton,Work and clubs in London areok but not to live, I have to benear the water. I feel more freein Brighton it is so liberal, it’sfabulous and as I work instraight and gay venues itfeels like one big family.SISTERS of PERPETUALGossipLiverpool has seen ahuge rejuvenation. The citycentre has been transformed. In the past coupleof years there has alsobeen a renaissance of"Drag Clubbing" in Liverpoolat ‘Garlands’ the ‘G-Bar’,and ‘Masquarade’. Thereare plans to pedestrianizeStanley Street Liverpool’sgay area for bars and clubs like ‘TheLisbon’, ‘Pacoes’ and ‘The Porthole’ (whichis undergoing a huge refurb as I write)...My recent week in Liverpool was spent in astretch limo dressed as Dorothy from theWizard of OZ along with Daniella Mantrap,Ashely, Davina Diamond and Tracy Wilderinvites around the Merseyside andManchester regions to launch StanleyStreets latest addition the new ‘SuperstarBoudoir’Promoter, tranny DJ TracyWilder (once a star inBrookside), has hatchedthis colourful new venue.Tracy has placed a lot ofimportance on the word''Superstar'' to give clubberssomething different on thegay, drag, tranny scene.Tracy is visibly at the helmspinning the decks andhosting the party. Shedraws in crowds of dedicatedfollowers. The staff are"drag superstars" too withTanya (ex Madame JoJo's),Ashely who is Liverpool’sanswer to the late‘Transformer’ and Danny who is a newcomerand Madonna and M Munroe lookalikey. The opening night which was Friday the 4thJuly was a big success with a queue runningup Stanley street and a huge searchlightbeaming into the night sky. The launchparty show featured a female opera singer,Daniella doing Cher, Danny doing Madonnaand me doing Liza MinelliSaturday night is now set as the main trannynight. Help is at hand for girls and boys whowant to be girls wanting to have make-oversas Julie Fawcet, who is renowned on thedrag scene and for being a cover model forTranformation and Transliving magazines, sets up her stall at the venue. On Friday nights the well loved ‘PopTastic’ isnow in residence at the Superstar Boudoirand the venue has been approached byLondon’s Transmission and Roses Reparteemagazine to host nights thereI have to admit I was a little sad to be leavingLiverpool after such a hectic and busyweek but The WayOut Club was calling. Why not book yourself an Apex direct and acheap hotel in the city centre and take yourselfup for a cultural experience in a citywhere everything is very laid back andfriendly.Sarah Lloyd17
