This allowance shall be at no cost to employees when they fill theirprescription under <strong>Maxxam</strong>’s account at any designated carrier. Due to Health <strong>and</strong> Safety requirements,appropriate permanently fitted safety side shields will be m<strong>and</strong>atory for all prescription safety glasses. Aboot allowance of one hundred <strong>and</strong> twenty dollars ($120.00) per year will be provided for those full-timeemployees regularly required to work in areas designated as requiring safety protective footwear.Regular full-time <strong>and</strong> regular part-time employees with six (6) or more months of service may opt topurchase their own prescription safety glasses. <strong>Employees</strong> who purchase their own prescription safetyglasses shall be able to claim reimbursement of up to one hundred <strong>and</strong> eighty dollars ($180) every twentyfour(24) months.To claim reimbursement, a receipt must be presented.22.12 Clean-Up Time(a)<strong>Employees</strong> shall be allowed reasonable time during the shift for clean-up purposes.(b) Facilities for such clean-up shall be provided by the Employer subject to the practicability of theparticular situation.22.13 Supply <strong>and</strong> Maintenance of EquipmentThe Employer shall provide <strong>and</strong> maintain all equipment, tools, machinery, furniture <strong>and</strong> suppliesnecessary for the employees to perform their duties.23.1ARTICLE 23 - TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGE(a) Both parties acknowledge the overall advantages <strong>and</strong> necessity of technological change <strong>and</strong> theongoing requirement to facilitate technological change in the Employer's operations.(b) The parties recognize the need to develop orderly procedures to facilitate adjustments to <strong>and</strong>implementation of changes in technology.(c) In light of this mutual recognition the parties have agreed to the following:23.2(a) For the purpose of technological change as defined in relevant legislation, the Employer agrees toprovide the Union with as much notice as possible, but in any event not less than sixty (60) days noticeof a technological change.(b) Upon receipt of a notice of technological change pursuant to Article 23.2(a), the Joint Committeeestablished under Article 29 shall meet to consult on the impact of the proposed change.(c)(d)The written notice identified in Article 23.2(a) will provide the following information:(1) the nature of the change(s);(2) the anticipated date(s) on which the Employer plans to effect change(s);(3) the location(s) <strong>and</strong> number(s) of employees likely to be directly affected pursuant to (d) below.Where notice of technological change has been given pursuant to Article 23.2(a):(1) Regular employees who are assigned by the Employer to work with the new technologyshall receive a period of training <strong>and</strong> familiarization. <strong>Employees</strong> involved in training under thissection shall receive their basic pay for the period of training.
