It consists of restoring equipment asnearly as possible to new conditions in accordance with original manufacturing standards. Rebuild isperformed only when required by operational considerations or other paramount factors and then onlyat the depot maintenance category. Rebuild reduces to zero the hours or miles the equipment, orcomponent thereof, has been in use.d. Symbols. The uppercase letter placed in the appropriate column indicates the lowest level atwhich that particular maintenance function is to be performed.e. Tools and Equipment. Column 4.
