Pipe Freeze Protectionand Flow MaintenanceECW-GF, ECW-GF-DPDigital electronic controllers and remote display panelFire Sprinkler SystemFreeze ProtectionECW-GF with FTC-PSK pipe standand power connection kitECW-GF using RayClic powerconnection kitECW-GF-DP remote display panelavailable only with ECW-GFECW-GF-DPECW-GF using a separate junction boxProduct OverviewThe DigiTrace ECW-GF electronic controller providesaccurate temperature control with integrated 30-mAground-fault protection. The ECW-GF is ideal for pipe freezeprotection, flow maintenance, freezer frost heave, floorheating and snow melting applications. The ECW-GF is housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure designed tobe wall mounted or installed on a pipe with the optional RaychemFTC-PSK pipe stand kit.The controller includes a window and a digital display thatshows the measured temperature, set point temperatureand alarm conditions (temperature sensor failure, high orlow temperature and ground-fault) if detected.Alarm conditions can be indicated via a Form C dry contactconnected to a building management system. Status LEDsindicate whether the digital display is showing the set pointor actual temperature or if the controller is in an alarmstate. The ECW-GF can be programmed to maintain temperaturesup to 200°F (93°C), at voltages from 100 to 277 V, and iscapable of switching current up to 30 amperes.Programming the set point temperature, deadband, and thehigh and low alarm thresholds on the controllers is accomplishedusing the built-in digital display and push buttons. A9-V battery connector is supplied to allow programming thecontroller before the heating cable circuit power is provided. An optional remote display panel, the DigiTrace ECW-GF-DP,is available. This remote display provides remote alarmindication and ground-fault test and reset capability. TheECW-GF-DP can be installed indoors in a standard duplexbox located up to 328 ft (100 m) from the controller.Roof and GutterDe-IcingSurface SnowMelting – MISurface SnowMelting – ElectroMeltFreezer FrostHeave PreventionTHERMAL MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS EN-DigiTraceECWFamily-DS-H58338 11/13The ECW-GF is supplied with a 25-foot thermistor for line, slab or ambient sensing temperature control.1 / 5Floor Heating Technical DataSheets
