Carrying out the vision of jointness held by the Chief, NationalGuard Bureau, Lieutenant GeneralH. Steven Blum, and Major GeneralAllen E. Tackett. JITC is staffed bymembers of the Army and Air NationalGuard.The JITC is a one-of-a -kindtraining capability for the nation. Ithas three locations: Camp Dawsonas the main campus, a commandelement located in St. Albans inwestern Kanawha County, the Centerfor National Response TrainingCenter (Memorial Tunnel) in southeasternKanawha County. JITCprovides homeland defense andGWOT training for the active component, National Guard and reserve forces as well as federal,state and local agencies throughout the United States. It also provides operational supportto the U.S. State Department’s Anti-Terrorism Assistance program, the Department ofEnergy’s Assurance Office, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense andDefense Contract Management Agency’s mission assurance program.56
