1Task definition0211-ATThe focus is on service <strong>and</strong> rapid spare <strong>parts</strong> supply.Service at Hartensteiner is top priority – for this reason, the necessary spare <strong>parts</strong> from awide variety of vehicle types <strong>and</strong> model years must be in kept in stock on site. They mustalso be available quickly <strong>and</strong> reliably to maintain billing deadlines. It was decided toreplace the existing static racking systems for storing cardboard boxes <strong>and</strong> <strong>storage</strong> bins.2SolutionAn analysis of the various <strong>parts</strong> stored was conducted <strong>and</strong> the required <strong>storage</strong> volume wascalculated. Since the <strong>parts</strong> required special <strong>storage</strong> due to their different sizes, shapes, weights<strong>and</strong> packaging, a Shuttle XP 700 was selected. All <strong>parts</strong> are stored on 73 trays with net usablewidth of 3050 mm.
