Inspect vehicles andmachinery as necessary.Complete clean-downs as required and submit vehicles,machinery and equipment for inspection.Identify and report weeds and pests using HAZOBbooklet.Conduct Weed Hygiene Inspections and issue WeedHygiene Inspection Report.5.2 Data ManagementField information in the form of preliminary surveys, property evaluation reports, hazard observationbooklet forms and/or stakeholder group information will be transferred to the QGC GIS Database andalso the QGC Protocol. This information will be used to develop weed and pest management plans overthe Gas Fields and maintain knowledge of weed and pest distribution. It will also assist documentlandholder discussions, what weeds and pest were present prior to commencement of gas fielddevelopment and effectiveness of management.An exchange of Weed and Pest information between QGC and Biosecurity Queensland will beinvestigated to improve management planning and responsiveness.5.3 MonitoringMonitoring and control of weeds and pests will be conducted on an ongoing basis for the life of the GasField. Monitoring of weed and pest infestations within disturbed areas will occur at least monthly duringconstruction and then quarterly for a period of two years following construction. Appropriate weed andpest control measures will be applied. Following the two year period, the frequency of monitoring will bereconsidered dependent on the success of control measures and the level of infestations.Weed and pest management is an integrated and evolving process and amendments to strategies mustoccur regularly as new information becomes available and new control techniques are developed. Weedstrategies also need to be amended when the pattern of weed infestation changes. It is proposed that inthe event new significant weed species are discovered within the Gas Field area or along associatedaccess roads, these management strategies be reviewed. Results of monitoring will assist in identifyingways to improve weed and pest management.46 of 100
