Thank you for your interest in our program.The Department of Chemical Engineering, one of The Petroleum Institute’s five keystoneprograms, provides a unique opportunity for young men and women to develop theknowledge and skills needed to pursue a rewarding and productive career in the chemicalindustries. The Petroleum Institute seeks to develop engineers with the complete range ofskills required to work and live effectively in the multicultural environment that pervades today’s global community.The program features a summer internship in industry which offers students significant exposure to the petroleumand chemical processing industries in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world.Our students can look forward to a rewarding education in the Department of Chemical Engineering. We strive toproduce professionals who can apply the broad range of engineering, team work and social skills necessary to excelin our rapidly evolving global environment.
