As a protection against unforeseen events, suchas out-of-limit pressure buildup in sample vessels due tosome unexpected sample reaction, our fi rst line of defense isour extra strong and proven vessels. All our vessel sets areconservatively rated and can withstand short-time pressurespikes that are well above the normal working range. Inparallel to this, any out-of-limit pressure buildup causes ourOPGuard mechanism to come to rescue. It automaticallycauses the effected vessel to vent – safely and reliably.In such an event, all microwave power is stopped anda beeper sounds, warning the user to the extraordinarycondition. A rugged and powerful exhaust system rapidlyremoves any purged acid fumes from the cavity to theexhaust duct. Finally, if all else fails, our next line ofdefense, a mechanically strong and conservatively specifi edoven body, safeguards individual safety and undue damageto nearby instruments.
