QuickPHOTO MICRO 2.3System for Digital Photomicrography, Image Editingand Measurements

QuickPHOTO MICRO 2.3QuickPHOTO MICRO 2.3 is intended for capturing images especially from microscopes equipped with digital cameras, forediting and storing images and for measurements. Live image from a microscope displayed on a PC screen simplifies focusingand correct exposition of images. e program is of use especially in biological fields.QuickPHOTO MICRO 2.3 features many measuring functions, such as inserting of calibrated scale bar, measurement oflengths, perimeters, areas, angles, objects counting, phase analysis, etc. By using the time lapse imaging module, images can becaptured in a predefined time interval. e soware can also be installed on notebooks and used in the field.Main functions overview:capturing images from OLYMPUS digital cameras and other digital deviceslive image on PC screen (helps with focusing and can be used for demonstrations)measurements of lengths, perimeters, areas, angles, object count, phase analysis, calibrated scale bar insertingtable of measurement results with basic statistics, option to insert descriptions and save as a Microso Excel fileworking with several images at the same time, image editing, marking interesting details and inserting text annotationstime lapse image capturing and time lapse video creationoption to add plug-in modules (Deep Focus, RECORD IT, Fluo+)capturing images with external triggerdual - monitor workstations supportedOLYMPUS control panel functions:live image on PC screen (with full screen option)camera control functions: image quality, sensitivity (ISOspeed), white balance, flash mode, exposure mode, exposurecompensation, manual focusing, exposure time, anti-shocktimeimage capturing and transfer to PCshading correction function for eliminate image distortioncaused by inhomogeneous illumination (darker corners)insertion of the date and time of the capture into imagesfour user-defined profiles for quick camera setupMeasurements:Control panel of the OLYMPUS cameralengths (line segment, polyline)calibrated scale bar (with the option to define a type,a size and a colour of the scale bar - horizontal or verticalposition)areas and perimeters (ellipse, polygon and rectanglemeasuring tools)angles (arbitrary angle, angle from horizontal or verticalaxis)object countingphase analysiscalibrated orthogonal gridmeasured quantities for each measuring object are selectable, including the prefix for each quantitymovable fields with measured values

QuickPHOTO MICRO 2.3Phase analysisPhase analysis is a function used especially in material science. It allowsa percentage share of a certain colour or grey level (phase) in the imageto be measured. Up to four phases in a single image can be measured. Foreach phase, a marking colour can be selected. Another colour or grey levelcan easily be added to the same phase and the threshold can be adjusted.Overlapping colours from different phases can be marked as shared areasand inversion of phases can also be performed.Automatic time lapse capturingA built-in module Timer allows images to be captured automaticallywith a defined time interval and a Time lapse video module allows HDvideo files with resolution up to 1600x1200 pixels to be created.Working with imagesImages are transferred to a computer and prepared for processing immediatelyaer exposure. e application is designed to work with severalimages at the same time. One, two or four images can be displayed in themain window side by side. All images are opened in a thumbnail panelwhich makes working with several images easier. A navigator windowfacilitates orientation in a zoomed image that does not match a screen.Images can easily be edited with the following functions:crop (the size of a cropped area can be defined in pixelsor µm/mm)rotation (90° clockwise or counter clockwise)flip and mirrorimage resizebrightness and contrast adjustmentcolour adjustmentfilters (sharpen, blur, negative, grey scale)marking interesting areas and details with lines, arrows, circles, ellipses, rectangles and freehand drawingtext annotationspossibility to open images by drag & drop (by draggingthe image in to the main application window)All objects inserted in an image (drawings, measurements and annotations) are stored in a separate layer „above the image”and can be modified at any time (change of line colour and thickness, size modification, removal or deletion of objects)or hidden. e whole object layer can be deleted or merged with an image. e application allows an unlimited number ofperformed operations to be undone - unlimited undo.Images can be displayed as a full screen slide show with defined time delay between images. Images can also be displayedin full screen mode with the option to compare two or four images side by side.Support of dual - monitor workstationse QuickPHOTO MICRO 2.3 application supports work with dual - monitor workstations. A live image can be displayedon the secondary monitor in full screen mode while the first monitor displays the main application window for working withimages.External triggere external trigger is an additional part of accessories which allows you to capture images very comfortably and quicklyjust by pressing a trigger button. It is useful when a microscope is far from a computer or when working with dual - monitorworkstation.ReportsImages with tables of measured values can easily be exported to a Microso Word report. e user can create his own reporttemplates with different layouts and numbers of exported images. Templates can be created in Microso Word using standardformatting functions.
