28HKBU’s Dioxin Analysis Laboratory gained an accreditation from theHong Kong Accreditation Service of the Innovation and TechnologyCommission. 29Jennsen Fung (English Language and Literature, Year 2) won the BestDelegate award in the World Health Organization committee of theSixth Singapore Model United Nations Conference. Her paper entitled “Media Exposureand Perceived Opinion Diversity – Chinese Public’s Perceptions of Public Opiniontoward the Beijing Olympics”, supervised by Professor Steve Guo, was chosen asone of the three best student papers in the Mass Communication division.傳 理 學 院 新 聞 系 博 士 生 王 寧 撰 寫 的 論 文 《 媒 體 接 觸 與 對 輿 論 環 境 多 樣 化 程 度的 認 知 ── 中 國 公 眾 眼 中 的 北 京 奧 運 輿 論 環 境 》, 獲 得 國 際 傳 播 學 會 二 零 零九 年 會 頒 發 大 眾 傳 播 組 別 最 佳 學 生 論 文 獎 , 成 為 該 組 別 的 三 位 得 獎 者 之 一 。該 論 文 由 郭 中 實 教 授 擔 任 導 師 。The HKBU Rowing Club won seven medals at the 15th Hong KongUniversities Rowing Championships which attracted about 300 athletes fromseven universities. The team, comprising more than 25 members, scoopedthe first-runner up prize in the overall competition and the men’s division.浸 大 划 艇 會 派 出 逾 二 十 五 位 健 兒 參 加 第 十 五 屆 全 港 大 學 賽 艇 錦 標 賽 , 共 贏得 七 個 獎 項 , 包 括 團 體 全 場 總 亞 軍 和 男 子 全 場 總 亞 軍 。 該 比 賽 吸 引 了 七 間大 學 約 三 百 名 同 學 生 參 加 。
