2. System PlanningInstallers should read and understand this chapter before proceeding withphysical installation. SkyView equipment installed contrary to the requirementsoutlined in this chapter may not operate within specifications.The purpose of this chapter is to familiarize you with important SkyView system informationand concepts including the following:Operating specificationsInstallation location requirementsSkyView systemsSkyView modules have environmental and location requirements that must be adhered to forspecified operation. This chapter helps installers make informed decisions regarding suitableSkyView equipment locations in aircraft. It contains electrical, mechanical and environmentalspecifications, installation requirements, and other important guidelines and suggestions.When SkyView components are used together, they are referred to as a SkyView system. Thischapter also explains what a SkyView system is and how to build one.SpecificationsTable 2 contains power specifications for typical SkyView systems. The table below accounts forthe power that a SkyView display consumes while powering itself and its attached modules.
