6.11 BUILDINGS6.11.1 CBI HO BuildingThe new CBI Headquarters Building is a modern,state-of-the-art, centrally air-conditioned buildinghaving two basements and ground plus 11 floors, whichhas been constructed by the NBCC in a period of 36months at a total cost of Rs.201.10 crore. This buildingwas inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister ofIndia Dr. Manmohan Singh on 30.04.2011. Thebuilding houses all Delhi-based Offices of CBI, whichincludes AC Headquarters, Special Crime, EconomicOffences, ACB Delhi, BS&FC, STF, MDMA,INTERPOL, Administration Division, Directorateof Prosecution, Chief Information Officer, VigilanceCell and also the Office of Pay & Accounts Officer,CBI, New Delhi. It has CBI Gallery, Gymnasium,Press Briefing Room, Cafeteria, Guest Rooms, etc.It is an energy-efficient building having rainwaterharvesting, solar heating system and also has ownsewerage treatment plant with provision of recyclingof treated water for horticulture use. The building isequipped with state-of-the-art fire-fighting system as perlatest national building code. It has energy conservingHVAC system for power back-up facility. Workstationsand cabins with glass partitions, compactors have beenprovided on each floor.6.11.2 CBI ART GALLERYCBI Gallery depicts the history of CBI, importantcases handled by the organisation and articles recoveredin important cases. The gallery was inaugurated byHon’ble Prime Minister of India on 30.04.2011.6.11.3 GYMNASIUM AT CBI HQ BUILDINGThe Gymnasium has been made functional on groundfloor of CBI HQ Building. It has been equipped withstate-of-the-art gymnasium equipments.6.11.4 CANTEENA cafeteria on ground floor is presently run byIRCTC.6.11.5 PRESS BRIEFING ROOMA well-designed Press briefing room and Media loungeis functional at the ground floor.6.11.6 OTHER BUILDINGSThe CBI has undertaken other projects for theconstruction of office-cum-residential complex at variousplaces, which includes office complex in Bandra-KurlaComplex at Mumbai, office-cum-residential complex atJabalpur, office-cum-residential complex at Imphal andoffice-cum-residential complex at Guwahati.6.11.7 Sanction of the Government has been obtainedfor making payment to Dy. Commissioner, Papumpari,Yupia towards allotment of 3750 sq.mtrs. of land forconstruction of CBI office-cum-residential complex atItanagar. Payment has been made and possession hasbeen taken of the land.Shri Amar Pratap Singh, Director, CBI, along with other Senior Officers of CBI on the occasion ofsuperannuation of Shri S.P.
