COOROY SCOUTS NEWSLETTER No 4 TERM 3 - 22 / 8 / <strong>2011</strong>* Term 3 WORKING BEE - GROUNDS UPGRADE - plans to encloseand protect the scout grounds from damage is ready to start. Due tothe position of essential services on our street boundary we willhow have to manually prepare the site. We are looking for 5 fithelpers to dig the holes for the bollards and mix concrete. Thiswould be on a weekend but the date can not be set until we getoffers of help for cub dad, Peter Smith. So please ʻwilling workersʼdrop me an email!* RAFFLE - preparations for our annual raffle have started. <strong>Scout</strong>mum Michelle Baynes has volunteered again to seek donationsfrom local businesses but but would like one helper to help hercover the area. Could any parents who are comfortable with this jobplease contact me.Parent donations of goods can come in any time now as well. Thesecan be for any age group, male or female but no perishibles(incl.choc) please.Ticket sales will start next term and there will be plenty ofopportunities to work off your FR Levy on Thursday and Saturdays.* JAMBOREE 2013 - although this event sounds a long way off, weneed to know who wishs to attend. A list has been left at the den forany likely participants and we ask any parents to fill this out asap.The main information required is - intention to attend - whether youwish to fundraise or not. Any families who are involved will have toget together as a group and plan any fundraising separate from butunder the entity of the parent committee. Those members who areunsure at this point and do not end up attending, any funds couldprobably go towards other scout fees instead.* POSSIBLE FUNDRAISING - are there any parents available on Wed& Sat mornings between 6 - 11 for carpark duty at Eumundi.* BOOT SALE was a great success again. Thanks to Kathy & KenLavender for the organisation & to other family helpers on the dayLewis, Zecchinati, Ochre-Salter, Haack, Worrall, Williams &Venturers. I was sick, ended up missing it and the roster is still at theden so I apoligise if I have missed anyone.* CLEANING ROSTER - due to our weekly rental of the hall & the needof consistence, the cleaning this year is now done by a parent.* TERM 3 SUBS are still due, please pay if outstanding.* Thanks for reading, Kim Wilmott (Chairman) M - 0407428475
