This master station isdesigned for both flush and surface mounting; in- and on-wall back boxes are available for this purpose. Thestation can also be flush mounted into a desk.Typical application areas are hospitals, airports, stores and warehouses, factory shop floors and nurseries. Amodular jack plug on the station facilitates quick and easy connection. A CAT3 or higher, or a 2-pair 0.5 mm2twisted telephone cable is required between the exchange and the station. The maximum distance is 1.4km with 0.5 mm2 cable. Longer distances are possible by using heavier wires. The station is equipped witha sensitive electret microphone and a 1 W loudspeaker.
