Process Instrumentation – Corn millThe production of culinary flour is made from grains: thesegrains are ground into flour.The main production units of the plant are:Stock storage silosSifter (separation and cleaning)Steep (with sprayed water)Rolling millsSeparation of flour and branGround flour or bran storage silosTransport with trucksThe stock storage and the finished product storage silosshould be considered in the aspect of the instruments.Instruments of stock storage silos:Continuous level transmitting with MicroTREKHTN-4xx-6 Ex guided microwave level transmittersAccessory instruments: NIPOWER PKK-331 powersupply, UNICOUNT PDF-401-6 Ex process indicatordisplay, UNICOUNT PMM-311 universal controllerIndication of full or empty status with high/low failsafe limit switchesSuitable level switches: NIVOROTA EKH-4xx -5 Exrotary paddle level switch, NIVOCONT RKH-5xx-5 Exvibration rod level switch, NIVOSWITCH RRH-3xx-B Exvibration fork level switchMultipoint temperature transmitting in silos:THERMOPOINT TMM-5xx-5 Ex with HART outputMeasured values can be displayed and stored in aPC. The PC could be connected to the THERMOPO-INT thermometer by using a MultiCONT PRW multichannelprocess controller or a SAT-304/SAK-305HART/USB/RS485 modem.Instruments of finished product silos:Continuous level measurement with MicroTREKHTN-4xx-6 Ex guided microwave level transmitters.Accuracy of the measurement allows the fillingcontrol of the trucks.Indication of full or empty status with high/low fail safelimit switches.
