Effectively manage the delivery of effective specialist individual taught sessions andadditional support tutorials for each individual student on your caseload, including work inthe pre enrolment/transition period.2. Input referral forms for additional support on campus data systems.3. Deliver initial ALS and further specialist assessment and enhanced induction of learnerswith disabilities or identified difficulties including literacy numeracy or language difficulties4. Ensure your own personal development so that your learning materials, strategies andpersonal knowledge of your subject are current.5. Regularly attend and contribute to departmental and team meetings.


<strong>Job</strong> Description6. Accurately maintain the agreed system for dealing with ALS claim information.7. Deliver an agreed number of student contact hours.8. Ensure all preparation and ALS administration is completed promptly and efficiently withinthe agreed timescales.9. Continuously demonstrate a commitment towards further professional developmentincluding in the application of new technologies to improve the effectiveness of support10. To assist with the recruitment and interviewing of learners including the provision ofobjective advice and guidance about support requirements.11. Maintain up to date accurate logs and registers which reflect the current student profile.12. To guide individual learners in target setting and learner contracting and to track andmonitor progress against targets.13. Liaising with examinations department, to ensure compliance with exam accessrequirements are in place in a timely fashion.14. Process campus referral forms for ALS to plan timetabled support sessions, liaising withstudents, curriculum areas and tutors/mentors.15. Support high levels of achievement and progression effective Individual Learning Plans forsupport sessions and liaise with curriculum tutors.17. To receive and act on learner feedback.18. To help ensure all <strong>College</strong> regulations and policies are upheld and instigate learnerdisciplinary procedures where necessary.Support Programme Development19. To continually review teaching and learning support requirements in line with the <strong>College</strong>’sstrategic objectives.20. Liaise with any relevant awarding bodies and contribute in a positive way.21. Contribute to the effective and efficient management of the overall support programme.22. To assist with the production of support promotional literature and the production ofsupport materials.General23. Co-operate in any staff development activities required to effectively carry out the duties ofthe post and to participate in <strong>College</strong> staff review and development schemes.
