A revised feasibility study has been
completed by Climax Mining for their
Dinkidi Cu-Au project and approval of
the study received by the Philippines
km north of Manila. A US$81M capital
expenditure is envisaged with an
annual average metal production of
approximately 94,000 oz gold and
10,000 tonnes of copper in concentrate.
The revised feasibility study indicates a
minimum 15-year operation including
a 12-month construction period commencing
at the end of 2005. Production
is planned to begin in 2007.
raised funds to conduct a prefeasibility
study to be completed by late
2006 on the Tampakan copper-gold
Mindanao Island. The Tampakan
indicated and inferred resource is
approximately 900 Mt @ 0.7% Cu and
0.3 g/t Au (COG = 0.4% Cu).
It has been reported that the
facility and restart the nickel mining
operations.
Mindoro Resources Ltd. reports that
high gold recoveries were obtained in
column leach tests from their epithermal
Archangel Au-Ag prospect. Mindoro is
carrying out more detailed evaluations
aimed at establishing the open-pit,
heap-leach potential of the prospect.
The Rapu Rapu mine, located on the
eastern edge of Rapu Rapu island, celebrated
