ANNEX AProject 17- 6:Project Manager:Kelly Lake Protected AreaDepartment of Indian Affairs and Northern Development (DIAND) – NorthernAffairs Program (NAP)Obligations Addressed:Proposed17.4.1 (a) The lands described in schedule -, appendix E, shall be set aside and protected by Canadain order to preserve the natural environment of the area in its natural state for the benefitand enjoyment of the public.(b) Subject to existing rights, titles or interests in the lands in (a), Canada shall withdraw thelands in (a) from the disposition of surface interests at the same date as the withdrawal oflands pursuant to 1.12 of appendix C.ACTIVITIES RESPONSIBILITY TIMING GUIDELINES(in sequence)1. Subject to existing rights, titles or interests in NAP at the same date as thethe lands in (a), Canada shall withdraw thewithdrawal of landslands in (a) from the disposition of surfacepursuant to 1.12 ofinterestsappendix C2. Enforce prohibition of any permanent or NAP as requiredsemi-permanent occupation of the KellyLake Protected Area by implementing the"Unauthorized Occupancy of Territorial Lands- Enforcement Procedures".3. Remove debris left by the public using the NAP annuallyKelly Lake Protected AreaPlanning Assumptions:- Since the current usage of the proposed Kelly Lake Protected Area by the public is along theshoreline of Kelly Lake, the inspection for and removal of debris will be along the shoreline.
