ANNEX AProject 8 - 2:Project Manager:Participant/Liaison:Repayment of negotiating loansDepartment of Indian Affairs <strong>and</strong> Nor<strong>the</strong>rn Development (DIAND)<strong>Sahtu</strong> Tribal Council (STC)Obligations Addressed:8.2.1 The <strong>Sahtu</strong> Tribal Council shall repay <strong>the</strong>ir negotiation loans <strong>and</strong> shall pay 15 percent of <strong>the</strong>negotiation loans incurred by <strong>the</strong> <strong>Dene</strong> Nation <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Metis</strong> Association of <strong>the</strong> NorthwestTerritories between 1975 <strong>and</strong> November 7, 1990 as provided in schedule II to this chapter.8.2.2 Canada may set off <strong>and</strong> deduct from payments to be made pursuant to 8.1.1 <strong>the</strong> amounts ofrepayment of <strong>the</strong> negotiation loans under 8.2.1 to be made at <strong>the</strong> time of such payments.ACTIVITIES RESPONSIBILITY TIMING GUIDELINES(in sequence)1. Determine <strong>the</strong> schedule of loan DIAND, STC as soon as possiblerepaymentsafter <strong>the</strong> date of signingof <strong>the</strong> agreement2. Repay negotiation loans in accordance STC according to schedule IIwith schedule II to chapter 8 to chapter 83.
