ANNEX AProject 5 - 2:Project Manager:Participant/Liaison:Constitutional reform in the Northwest TerritoriesGovernment of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) - Intergovernmental andAboriginal Affairs (IAA), CanadaSahtu Tribal Council (STC)Obligations Addressed:5.1.12 Government and the Sahtu Dene and Metis agree that the development of a future constitutionfor the Northwest Territories is a priority. Government shall give the Sahtu Tribal Council theopportunity to participate in any constitutional conference or similar process for reform of theconstitution of the Northwest Territories.ACTIVITIES RESPONSIBILITY TIMING GUIDELINES(in sequence)1. Government continues or initiates a GNWT or Canada after signing of theprocess for reform of the constitutionSahtu Dene and Metisof the Northwest Territoriesagreement2. Notify the STC of their opportunity to IAA or Canada reasonable time prior toparticipate in the process for reform of theexpected participationconstitution of the Northwest Territories3.
