ANNEX AProject 26 - 7:Project Manager:Participant/Liaison:Repatriation of Sahtu artefacts and recordsGovernment of the Northwest Territories - Prince of Wales Northern HeritageCentre (PWNHC)Sahtu Tribal Council (STC), CanadaObligations Addressed:26.2.7 (a) In appropriate cases, artefacts and records relating to the heritage of the Sahtu Dene andMetis which have been removed from the settlement area should be returned to thesettlement area or the Northwest Territories for the benefit, study and enjoyment of theparticipants and all other residents of the Northwest Territories.(b) Government and the participants agree to work together towards the attainment of theobjective in (a) provided that appropriate facilities and expertise exist in the settlement areafor the proper maintenance and exhibition of such artefacts and records and consistent withthe maintenance of the integrity of public archives and national and territorial heritagecollections.(c) Sahtu heritage resources may be housed and exhibited in appropriate aboriginal facilitiesas well as in other public institutions.Referenced Clauses: 26.1.1, 26.1.2ACTIVITIES RESPONSIBILITY TIMING GUIDELINES(in sequence)1.
