Notify the Sahtu Tribal Council of any government after settlementproposed policy or legislation with respectlegislationto Sahtu heritage resources in the MackenzieValley; provide the STC with a reasonableperiod of time to prepare its views on thematter; and provide the STC with anopportunity to present its views2. Review the proposal and present views to STC within period providedgovernment3. ANNEX AProject 26 - 2:Project Manager:Participant/Liaison:Disturbance of Sahtu burial sitesDeveloperSahtu Tribal Council (STC)Obligations Addressed:26.1.5 A Sahtu burial site in the settlement area shall not be disturbed except after consultation withthe Sahtu Tribal Council and after appropriate measures have been taken to respect the dignityof the site.Referenced Clauses: 26.2.3ACTIVITIES RESPONSIBILITY TIMING GUIDELINES(in sequence)1. If there is a proposal to disturb a Sahtu developer after settlementburial site, notify the STC; provide the STClegislationwith full details of the site; provide the STCwith full details of the proposed disturbance;provide the STC with full details of theappropriate measures to be taken to respectthe proposed dignity of the site; and providethe STC with an opportunity to present itsviews2. Review the proposal and present views to STC within period providedthe developer3. Give full and fair consideration to the views developerpresented4.
