Although the linearmodel produced a good fi t <strong>for</strong> the data (r 2 =80%), the quadratic modelimproved the fi t slightly more (R 2 =87.5%). In 1987, no technical paperswere presented at the Network’s Biennial Workshop and only about50% of the participants were NARS scientists (Fig. 6).
