Product SheetCJC Transformer Oil UnitTFP 2R27/108/SAPPLICATIONThe CJC Transformer Oil Unit 2R27/108is used for drying insulating oil in transformers.The transformer insulation is dried indirectlyvia the insulating oil. The TFP 2R27/108 is idealfor removal of water, particles and degradationproducts (online operation).advantages• Gentle, indirect drying of the cellulose insulationvia the insulating oil• Continuous operation at the transformer withoutdowntime• Continuously high dielectric strength andoperation reliabilityFUNcTIONThe filter pump draws the humid insulating oil fromthe transformer and presses it through two filterhousings (2-stage filtration).In the first filter housing only water is removedfrom the insulating oil. In the second filter housingare also removed solid particles and oil degradationproducts from the oil.Dried and cleaned, the insulating oil is lead back to thetransformer. There, it picks up further humidity fromthe paper insulation generated because of the agerelateddegradation (depolymerisation). By thismeans, gradually not only the insulating oil but alsothe transformer insulation is dried.During operation the water content is measuredby two sensors at the filter inlet and outlet. Thedifference of the measured values indicates thequantity of removed water.Saturation of the filter inserts is shown in the SPSdisplay.filter InsertsThe main components of the CJC Filter inserts aremolecular sieve and cellulose. The molecular sieveinsert adsorbs large amounts of water contained inthe oil. The heat-treated cellulose filter insert of theCJC Filter insert BEJT not only adsorbs water butalso removes particles and oil degradation products.All cellulose-based CJC Filter inserts have afiltration degree of 3 µm absolute.
