Learning more about physical activity and healthy eating has never been easier.Physical Activity Programmes (Age 18+)Active Lifestyles has two options available tailored just for you.For those with low level health problems we have our Early Interventionprogramme. Option two is our exercise referral programme andis aimed at those with moderate to high level health problems,which could be improved by leading a healthy lifestyle.Both components consist of a 14 week supported physical activityprogramme from a specialist Active Lifestyles Officer. Complete withhealth screening before, during and after as well as a personalisedphysical activity programme, each option offers access to a range ofactivities at a heavily discounted rate including gym, swimming,exercise classes, walking and cycling all aimed to help you meet yourdesired goals. Together we can work on getting you active whilsttaking those steps towards a healthier lifestyle. Sessions run duringthe day and evening at Active Sefton leisure centres across theborough and at times suitable for you. Initial assessments are byappointment only.<strong>FREE</strong> Programmes we offer…Relax and Revive (Age 18yrs+)Keeping active is a great way to achieve apositive state of mind and Relax & Revive is aperfect way to do this. Designed to help individuals achieve a positivemental wellbeing through physical activity, Relax & Revive is open toall. Taking place borough wide there are a range of drop in sessionsrunning at Active Sefton leisure centres across Sefton featuring onehour in the sports hall and/or one hour of relaxation, and what’s goodis that you can just turn up.MOVE IT (Age 7-16yrs)MOVE IT is a <strong>FREE</strong>, fun, weight managementservice for children and young people and theirfamilies who would like to improve their healthor need help with weight maintenance. Thesefun sessions aim to help encourage children and families to adopt ahealthy lifestyle through healthy eating tips, behaviour change anddifferent ways to keep active. Lasting 6 weeks, for one hour a weekthese sessions take place across the borough and, dependent on theage of participants, will involve fun games, gym based activities andhealthy eating advice.Diets Don’t Work! (Age 16yrs +)This <strong>FREE</strong> 12 week weight managementprogramme helps you adopt a healthy lifestylewhilst helping to control your weight. Groups are available across theborough and take place during the day and evening.The programme doesn't just focus on good nutrition but coverstopics such as goal setting, label reading, shopping on a budget,socialising, behaviour change and coping mechanisms.
