2013 SCOPE Summer Explorations Program at CommackBurr Intermediate SchoolStudents Entering Grades 1-6Summer Music ProgramStudents Entering Grades 4-8Session I: Monday, July 1 - Friday, July 12, 2013 (excluding July 4)Session II: Monday, July 15 - Friday, July 26, 2013May 2013Dear Parent/Guardian:SCOPE Education Services is pleased to announce the return of the Summer ExplorationsProgram and the Summer Music Program at Commack UFSD. Commack elementary studentsentering grades 1-6 may participate in our innovative Summer Explorations Program. Commackstudents entering grades 4-8 may participate in our highly revered Summer Music Program.SCOPE offers a very unique childhood experience, providing students with a nurturing andfun-filled environment.The Summer Explorations Program and Summer Music Program will be held at BurrIntermediate School. The Summer Explorations Program classes will be conducted as follows:Session I: July 1-July 12, and Session II: July 15-July 26. The program will run from 8:30 A.M.to 12:35 P.M. The day will consist of three class periods, each lasting one hour and fifteenminutes: 1 st Period-8:30-9:45am, 2 nd Period-9:55-11:10am and 3 rd Period-11:20am-12:35pm. Theschool district does not provide transportation. The 4-week Summer Music Program is explainedin further detail on the attached Music Registration Form.All courses require a tuition payment and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.Please see the attached registration information and course selection guide. In order to operate,this program will need a minimum number of students.Please complete the attached registration form or register online by June 14, 2013.Register your child for the grade level he/she is entering in September 2013.To register online, please go to www.scopeonline.us.
