2013 <strong>SCOPE</strong> <strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Explorations</strong> <strong>Program</strong> at <strong>Commack</strong>Burr Intermediate SchoolStudents Entering Grades 1-6<strong>Summer</strong> Music <strong>Program</strong>Students Entering Grades 4-8Session I: Monday, July 1 - Friday, July 12, 2013 (excluding July 4)Session II: Monday, July 15 - Friday, July 26, 2013May 2013Dear Parent/Guardian:<strong>SCOPE</strong> Education Services is pleased to announce the return of the <strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Explorations</strong><strong>Program</strong> and the <strong>Summer</strong> Music <strong>Program</strong> at <strong>Commack</strong> UFSD. <strong>Commack</strong> elementary studentsentering grades 1-6 may participate in our innovative <strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Explorations</strong> <strong>Program</strong>. <strong>Commack</strong>students entering grades 4-8 may participate in our highly revered <strong>Summer</strong> Music <strong>Program</strong>.<strong>SCOPE</strong> offers a very unique childhood experience, providing students with a nurturing andfun-filled environment.The <strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Explorations</strong> <strong>Program</strong> and <strong>Summer</strong> Music <strong>Program</strong> will be held at BurrIntermediate School. The <strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Explorations</strong> <strong>Program</strong> classes will be conducted as follows:Session I: July 1-July 12, and Session II: July 15-July 26. The program will run from 8:30 A.M.to 12:35 P.M. The day will consist of three class periods, each lasting one hour and fifteenminutes: 1 st Period-8:30-9:45am, 2 nd Period-9:55-11:10am and 3 rd Period-11:20am-12:35pm. Theschool district does not provide transportation. The 4-week <strong>Summer</strong> Music <strong>Program</strong> is explainedin further detail on the attached Music Registration Form.All courses require a tuition payment and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.Please see the attached registration information and course selection guide.
