Bracing InformationT-13 COIL-ANCHOR¨ 3/4” Diameter x 4-1/2” Long Application SequenceDrillMotorNew 3/4”DiameterCarbideTippedDrill Bit4” MinimumDepthDrill a 3/4” diameter hole1. perpendicular to the floorsurface with a new carbidetipped drill. Depth of the holemust be a minimum 4”. Holesdrilled through slabs that are 5”or greater are acceptable.- Do not use core bits for T-13anchor holes.- Minimum compressivestrength of the concretemust be 2,500 psi prior toinstallation of T-13 anchors.- Minimum edge distance forthe T-13 anchor is 12”.Warning! Do not use T-13 (4-1/2”)anchors in slabs less than 5” thick. The insufficient embedment depthwill not allow required load capacity.Insert the T-13 anchor4. through the foot plateof the wall brace and intothe properly drilled hole.Drive the bolt down untilthe cut washer rests onthe foot plate.WasherBraceFootPlateTighten the T-135. anchor with a 3/4”impact wrench, then usea torque wrench to insurecorrect tightness. Refer tothe chart for proper torquingvalues.Warning! If wind loadsover 35 miles per hour areexperienced on the job site, all T-13 anchors should bechecked with a torque wrenchto verify proper torque valuesare maintained.Brace Foot PlateThoroughly clean the drilled2. hole with compressed air.T-13 COIL-ANCHOR BoltPatent #5,006,0233/4" Dia. x 4-1/2" LongThread the Tang onto3. the T-13 bolt. Fingertight is sufficient, no morethan 1-1/2 turn. The tension safe working load (SWL) per T-13 COIL-ANCHOR is6. shown below:Floor SlabThicknessSWLTensionPer AnchorMinimumTorque PerAnchor5” or Thicker 7,500 lbs. 200 ft. lbs.Notes: Safe working loads are based on an approximate factorof safety of 2:1. This assumes a minimum slab compressivestrength of 2,500 psi and a properly installed T-13 anchor asdetailed above.Warning: When using T-13 Coil-Anchor Bolts, always cleanand lubricate the bolt with T-13-L SET-EEZ. Failure to do sowill result in bolt wear, lower than expected load capacity andpossible premature failure.Bracing InformationWasherD4 Turn Tang.740"MaximumTang O.D.Caution! Do not attempt topre-expand the Tang. For properload capacity, the Tang must notbe installed over 1-1/2 turn on thebolt.Warning! Do not attempt to usea standard coil bolt with the T-13Coil-Anchor Tang. The Coil-AnchorBolt is a tapered bolt and is notinterchangeable with standardcoil bolts.T-13-G Thread GaugeNote: T-13-G Thread Gauges arerecommended, to check T-13 boltthread wear, when reusing T-13Coil-Anchor Bolts.T-13-L Set-Eez DryFilm LubricantThe Dayton Superior T-13-LSet-Eez Dry Film Lubricant isdesigned to facilitate the reuse ofthe T-13 Coil-Anchor bolt. The T-13-L lubricant is available in6 oz. bottles. To Order:Specify: (1) quantity, (2) name.Example:4 bottles, T-13-L Set-Eez Dry Film Lubricant.04-0981
