SuperiorLifting SystemHow to Remove the T-110 Plastic Recess PlugLifting SystemsCoil InsertsThe T-110 Insert’s location1. in the panel is easily found bylocating the antennae which willproject through the surface ofthe concrete.Using an ordinary claw hammer,tap2. lightly around the antennae, breakingthrough the thin skin of concrete toexpose the insert. Avoid striking theconcrete too hard so as not to breakthrough the plastic recess plug.Drive the claws of the hammer3. down about 3/8” between the endof the recess plug and the concrete.Pry up on the end of the recess4. plug until one half of it pops up to apoint where it is about one third ofthe way out of the concrete.For the time being, leave it as itis and proceed with step #5.Repeat steps #3 and #4 to5. loosen the opposite half of therecess plug.Grasp both halves of the recess6. plug between the thumb and fingerand squeeze.Both halves of the recess plug7. should now be easily removed,exposing the insert.If one half of the recess plug8. should be hard to remove, drivethe claws of the hammer as deeplyas possible between the recessplug and the top of the insert, asshown above. Push forward on thehammer with one quick motion.This will remove the recess plug.Use a blower to remove all9. debris from around the insertand the recess plug. The insertis now ready to receive thelifting hardware.Note: For proper hardware releasedo not “round” out void holes.Proper Hardware UsagePrior to lifting any tilt-up panel, apply an initial load to thecrane lines, making certain that the hardware is properlyattached to the head of the T-110 Insert and that the bail ofthe lifting hardware is aligned with the crane line.LoadWarning!
