It facilitates the placement of tilt-upstructural and other architectural members.• These pre-assembled packages of heavy duty shims aredesigned for large load bearing of precast units.• Shimpaks are very advantageous in precise placing andleveling of large panels.• Their use eliminates time consuming correction ofelastomeric drift and makes alignment safer and easier.• Popular sizes are 4” x 6” and 4” x 4” paks which are1-1/16” thick. Shimpaks are made up of shims in thefollowing thickness sequence; one 1/16th, three 1/4thsand two 1/8ths.
