Problems embedding?Students sometimes have difficulty embedding rich media content. This is a WordPress bug <strong>and</strong>it has to do with the permissions attached to your logon. If this is the case, speak to your lecturer.You may need to add a screenshot or holding image <strong>and</strong> paste in the URL of the video etc ...Editors will be able to embed the content for you.SlideshowsThe oQey slideshow plugin allows you to add photo slideshows to your posts. Images must befull width <strong>and</strong> so it should be used as a main feature in place of a teaser image. It will appear inthe main homepage content well, but like video <strong>and</strong> audio, you will need to assign a separatefeature image.The oQey Gallery menu is on the left <strong>and</strong> there is an upload icon above the post tool bar. To usethe feature you need to first create a gallery of the images you want to use: This is separate fromthe normal image upload process where you will upload your featured image.Make sure your images are 590px wide <strong>and</strong> 450px deep.1. go to the oQey Gallery menu on the left <strong>and</strong> select Galleries.2. Name your gallery <strong>and</strong> hit Create – Make the name relate to your story.3. Select Upload (panel 4 on the right) to browse <strong>and</strong> select images. These will appear below <strong>and</strong>you can drag them to the order you need.4. hit the circle icon on each image to add a description so captions will appear.5. Copy the gallery shortcodeTo insert the gallery, go to your post <strong>and</strong> put your cursor at the beginning. Hit the oQey icon inabove the tool bar <strong>and</strong> select your gallery. Alternatively, paste in the shortcode you copied.Remember, you will need to upload your featured image separately <strong>and</strong> as normal.Remember to crop your images to the right size.PollsUse the Polls tool on the left-h<strong>and</strong> menu to create a poll in your story. Select Polls > Add NewInsert your questions <strong>and</strong> answers <strong>and</strong> select a <strong>style</strong>. Please use something neutral, some of themore decorative polls will clash with our theme.When you have created your poll, save it <strong>and</strong> a shortcode will be generated.
