Then, there is aparticular wise consideration in electing the word: >J,A (mauliid) insteadof AJ, (walad). The word, >Jr 'mauliid' denotes one's own son or childrenonly. As for the word$, 'walad,' it is general and includes the children ofone's children as well. Thus, it is from another angle that the same subjecthas been strengthened. It is being virtually said, 'when even the son fromthe very loins of the father would be of no avail to the father, anyexpectations from the grandson and the great grandson are futile.'In the next verse, the knowledge of five things has been declared asexclusive to Allah Ta'iilii and that no created being has that knowledgeexcept Him and at this ends the SErah LuqmEn:Surely, it is Allah with whom rests the knowledge of the Hour,and He sends down the rain, and He knows what is in thewombs. <strong>And</strong> no one knows what he will earn tomorrow and noone knows in which land he will die. Surely, Allah is AllKnowing, All Aware - 31:34.Though, it has not been made explicit in the first three things that noone has their knowledge other than Allah, but the style of the statementis such that it seems to give the impression that the knowledge of thesethings rests limited to Divine Knowledge. As for the other two thingsmentioned later, there it has been explicitly said that no one has theirknowledge other than Allah. These very five things have been called"keys to the Unseen" (41 FL : mafitih al-ghayb) in a verse of Siirah-, >',Al-An'iim: > $! 41 &&'&j (<strong>And</strong> with Him are the keys of theUnseen. No one knows them but He - 6:59). In HadTth, it has been'+-&referred as eL (mafatih al-ghayb). Both elk. (mafatih) and ,+b(mafit'ih) are the plural forms of cL (miftah) meaning key which openslocks.
