ong>ANNEXong> A: ong>Detailsong> on the Clean Mark Accreditation SchemeThe Clean Mark Accreditation Scheme focus on companies that tender for the generalcleaning contracts for the following types of premises:• Conservancy Area (Town Council areas, public areas, etc.)• Commercial Buildings (Office buildings, shopping malls, industrial estates,educational institutions, etc).• Food & Beverage Establishment (Hawker centres, food courts, restaurants, etc.)Cleaning companies seeking accreditation can apply for either the Clean Mark Silver orClean Mark Gold award depending on the company’s ability to fulfil the different set ofaccreditation criteria. The accreditation certification is valid for one year.As of October 2012, there are 61 service providers accredited by NEA with Clean MarkSilver Award.Under the Enhanced Accreditation Scheme, cleaning companies are assessed in thefollowing four areas:(i) Professional and regulatory standards;(ii) Environmental health and cleanliness standards;(iii) Operation planning, support and delivery; and(iv) Training, quality of manpower and general working conditions (includesmandatory Environmental Cleaning WSQ training)The full set of criteria for the enhanced Clean Mark Accreditation Scheme can be foundbelow. The structure would also have to show that cleanersbel<strong>on</strong>ging to various categories of cleaners receive basic wages beginning at levelsthat are based <strong>on</strong> recommendati<strong>on</strong>s of <strong>the</strong> Tripartite Cluster for <strong>Clean</strong>ers14 (New) Workers’ salary (i.e. including all overtime payments, allowances, b<strong>on</strong>uses andany o<strong>the</strong>r forms of salary payments) is paid through GIRO unless o<strong>the</strong>rwise requestedby workers.15 Workers are given basic statutory benefits as stated under <strong>the</strong> Employment Laws,including <strong>the</strong> following:i.
