Getting startedThis section is about the initial steps you must take to check your Actsip package andthe install the hardware and software supplied on your computer system. Page 10shows how to start the Actsip-H program.If you know that the Actsip-H is already installed please continue with page 10.4.1. What's included in your Actsip-H boxCheck that the following parts are in the Actsip-H box:+ Actsip-H program disks- 5.25 diskettes; (360 Kb), usable for the IBM PC, IBM PC-XT, IBM PC-AT and true compatibles.orActsip-H version 2.22 consists of 2 disks marked H and H2.- 3.5 disk; (720 Kb), usable for the IBM and Portable computers andcompatibles.Actsip-H version 2.22 consists of 1 disk marked H.+ Actsip-H manual. (This manual)+ Keyboard overlays. Used to identify the function keys F1-F10 on the keyboard.The keyboards for the PC family includes several different layouts so yourActsip-H kit may include several different overlays.+ The Grey (or Black) BOX must be connected to a printer port Any one ofLPT1: or LPT2: is OK. The grey/black "BOX" has one male and one female 25pole connector.The male 25 pole end should go into the computer female printer port. Theother end of the BOX should be connected to the printer cable.The black box should have a letter followed by a number. The letter H standsfor Actsip-H. (The H block may also be used with the Actsip-E program.)The corresponding letter for the grey box is U.+ Five cables of which two or three are used to connect the PC to the H seriesPLC.- ACTCAB-MAIN cable (25 pole male to 25 pole female), The ACTCAB-MAIN cable from the serial port of the computer to the EB series CPU.The 25 pole male end goes into the PLC and the 25 pole female end goesinto the computer serial port COM1 or COM2and- ACTCAB-H cable: (25 pole male to 15 pole female), connected to theEB-end of the ACTCAB-MAIN cable to convert to the H series PLC.Copyright Actron AB, 1992
