ECIL and CMS Companies have been awarded the contract forproviding hardware, personal and infrastructure for the registration andscanning <strong>of</strong> documents. CMS has been awarded the districts <strong>of</strong> BangaloreUrban, Bangalore Rural, Tumkur, Belgaum where they collect Rs.30/- perpage scanned. Out <strong>of</strong> which Rs.16/- is paid to the Company and the restappropriated to <strong>Government</strong>. Similarly ECIL has been awarded remainingdistricts <strong>of</strong> the State, where the Company collects Rs.30/- per pagescanned <strong>of</strong> which Rs.25/- is paid to the Company and the rest appropriatedto the <strong>Government</strong>. <strong>Government</strong> has not invested any funds for registrationand scanning <strong>of</strong> documents which is on a BOT basis for a period <strong>of</strong> 5years ending September 2008.
