Hauskins, P.E.Transportation DirectorDivision:AllProcedure Statement:Project Scoping Phase in itself is a complete process and has a defined end. Scoping needs to finishbefore final design can start. The Scoping Approval signifies that the Scoping efforts are complete andapproved. The results of Scoping are recommended to be carried forward to Final Design. Thisrequires approval from the Division Managers and the Director.1.0. When to Use This FormThis form will be used by the Project Manager when Scoping is complete on a project and is ready forconsideration and approval for Final Design.The approval is needed from the MCDOT Director, after recommendation from the followingDivision Managers, to go to the Final Design phase:• Engineering Division Manager;• Transportation Planning Division Manager;• Traffic Operations Division Manager;• Operations and Maintenance Division Manager; and• Project Management & Construction Division Manager;The approval will make the project ready for Final Design.2.0.
