1. TrainingSIHFW has been envisaged as state level institution for improving the effectiveness ofhealth care delivery system by imparting knowledge and skill based <strong>trainings</strong> to the medical andPara-medical health personnel at different levels.SIHFW has now been established as a Society and registered with the Registrar ofSocieties, Panchkula on 11.11.2010 with the name of “Swasthya Prashikshan Kendra,Panchkula”. SIHFW is also a Collaborating institute for UT Chandigarh and Jammu & Kashmirfor which NIHFW provide the spots. The institute provides the umbrella spot 21 DTC and oneRHFWTC at Rohtak. Apart from this short duration refresher course are being conducted bySIHFW for MO, Staff Nurse, ANM and ASHAs from the State Budgets.The proposal is to equip new conference room with video conferencing facility in the FY2011-12 to make training more participative & interactive in an effort to make SIHFW a „Stateof the Art Institution‟ with connectivity of SIHFW with 21 DTCs. The newly established libraryin the institute has been equipped with the software of e-granthalaya. The Hostel of SIHFW witha <strong>capacity</strong> to accommodate 80 participants has made fully functionally.SIHFW has made synergistic efforts not only to achieve the training mandate of NRHMbut also in setting an ideal training infrastructure in the State by strengthening of DTCs.Maternal Health TrainingsSIHFW has taken the initiative to start and roll out the training of B-EMOC in all theDistrict of Haryana after conducting TOT at State level. Till date 964 Staff Nurse and 652 ANMshave been trained in SBA. The State now purposes to train another 600 staff Nurses and 800ANMs in SBA to complete the total Mission load.In EmOC training 67 MOs have been trained till date and the state plan to train another48 MOs during the next financial year. The process of certification of EmOC trained MOs tilldate shall be completed during this FY itself. In LSA training 23 MOs have been trained till dateand the state plans to train another 16 MOs during the next FY. Till date the EmOC and LSA<strong>trainings</strong> have been conducted in PGIMS Rohtak only, However, during the FY 2011-12 anothertrusted training centres for EmOC and LSA shall be established at GMCH Sector-32, Chandigarhso as to cover the total training load simultaneously in two Medical Colleges.Till date 202 MOs in MTP training using MVA and other methods and the state now plananother 120 MOs in MTP. During the year 2011-12 the RTI/STI <strong>trainings</strong> shall be rolled out at


the sub-District level for LTs, MOs and Staff Nurses as per the Collaboration of NACO withNRHM.Child Health TrainingsIMNCI training was earlier being imparted to MOs, SNs, ANMs, AWW in the State andtill date 7216 health personnel have been trained in IMNCI. During the next FY 1625 ANMsshall be imparted in IMNCI training so as to facilitate to post natal home visits. As per theguidelines received from the Govt. Of India the F-IMNCI shall be imparted to IMNCI trainedMOs and SNs for five days in which 672 of them shall be trained and F-IMNCI <strong>trainings</strong> shall beimparted to other MOs and SNs for 11 days in which 928 of them shall be trained. In NSSKtraining the state already trained 1276 MOs and SNs and 620 ANMs and plans to trainedanother 1600 MOs/SNs and 1312 ANMs so as to cover all the MCH centres in the state.Family Planning TrainingsTill date 33 MOs/SNs/OTAs have been trained in laparoscopic sterilization and the stateintends to train another 180 persons during the next FY. NSV has been imparted to 131 MOs tilldate and another 68 MOs trained during the next FY. 616 MOs and SNs have been trained inAlt-IUD and 1752 ANMs have been trained in Alt-IUD and the state plan to train another 620MOs SNs and 1500 ANMs during the next FY. During the FY 2010-11 the state has started thetraining of PP (IUD) in the six District of Haryana. During the FY 2011-12 all the District shallbe covered for PP (IUD) <strong>trainings</strong>. The PP (IUD) <strong>trainings</strong> for MOs have been incorporated withB-EmOC <strong>trainings</strong>.
