PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMPSSujanpur, Punjab : Today Bharat Vikas Parishad is known to masses. At the same time the need ofthe hour is to involve more and more persons. In view of the present scenario, the involvement of buddingyouth of the community is very important, though, so many sanskar oriented projects are successfullybeing performed by the branches, the project of Personality Development has good acceptance amongchildren & parents. This project inspires the children to realize the sense of responsibility & respecttowards relationship, discipline in life, responsibility towards society and community. Some of the branchesin Punjab North, Haryana, Karnataka, Delhi and Jummu & Kashmir organized such shivirs during 2009-10& 2010-11 and the results were very encouraging.Earlier, the personality development shivirs were being conducted jointly for boys and girls. Nowkeeping in view the general attitude, it is suggested that separate shivirs should be organized for boys andgirls. Similarly, Personality Development Camps for member families should also be organised.PROPOSED GUIDELINES : PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMP (CHILDREN)1. Camp should be for at least 4 days.2. Registration charges be fixed.3. The children should be from 6th to 9th Classes. Separate shivirs for boys & girls.4. Nearby 4-5 branches collectively can arrange such camps.5. Lady members must be incharge of girls section.6. Common dress for all is compulsory. Beddding, utensils or other daily need items to be arranged bycampers.7. No eatables form outside (from parents etc.) Meeting with parents restricted to the minimum extent orone time fixed for meeting with parents.8. Parents to be invited on the opening/closing function of the camp.9. Arrangement of intellectuals from Parishad or outside.10. Two camps of Songs11.
