INTRODUCTIONPlease read this student handbook very carefully. This handbook will explain the rules and regulationsthat must be followed at Fairmont Middle School. Failure to read this handbook and to fully understandits contents may cause you to violate a school rule. The administration will assume that all studentsunderstand all that is contained herein once handbooks are distributed and discussed. It will be theresponsibility of each student to secure a copy of this handbook and to keep it for reference should theneed arise.The value of this handbook will be determined by the extent to which it is used and understood by ourstudents and parents. Proper use and understanding of this handbook will be instrumental in theformation of an informed school community with a sense of purpose and direction.Parents are encouraged to read this handbook and discuss/clarify school policies with their children. Theadministration retains the right and privilege to amend, to supplement, and or to delete any provisions inthis handbook should situations and circumstances so dictate.
