The advantages of going dryDry vacuum pumps were first used in the mid-80s in the semiconductor industryand in chemical processing in the early 90s. nash_elmo continues to be a leaderin these applications. Our dry pump technology does not require external lubrication and uses noncontactingrotors to pump process vapors, thereby eliminating contamination. They provide several benefits:■ No contamination of process gases■ Solvent or process chemicals can be condensed and reused■ Acid and toxic chemicals are pumped easily■ Achieves a deeper vacuum, which improves yield and quality■ Flexibility to pump a changing mixture of chemicals■ Low operating costs■ Low maintenance costs■ Eliminates effluent treatment costsMain applications:■ Crystallization■ Distillation■ Drying■ Evaporators■ Metallurgical processing■ Reactor service■ Solvent recovery■ Sterilizers…and many othersFeaturesSimplicitySingle stage designControlled internal temperaturesStraight gas pathOil-free pumping chamberSpecial thread form, dynamically balancedFull capacityLow ultimate vacuumLarge pump capacitiesBenefitsReliability, low maintenanceNo interstage condensersEnergy efficient / safeMinimal residence timeEnvironmentally friendlyNo oil consumptionLow-noise, low vibrationFast evacuation timeHigh product purityFewer pumps neededWe design and develop solutions tailored to your individualneeds. Reliable, ultra clean andenvironmentally friendlyThe D_200 family of rotary screw vacuum systems features remarkably reliableand highly efficient dry vacuum pumps. A unique rotary screw design, ultraclean gas purged seals and no oil lubricants within the pumping chambersmake this dry pump very environmentally friendly. It can handle corrosives, organics, inorganics and solvents because of itsoil-free non-contacting screw design. As a result of this design, the pumphas a long life span without any internal wearing parts. Unlike other unitswhere corrosion can occur between the screw rotor and separate shaft, intappings on the screws, etc., the D_200 shafts and screws are each onesolid piece allowing for the safest, most trouble free design. With the gas enclosed between the screw flights and then axially transferredto the discharge, there is no possibility of contaminating valuable solvents, products or the environment. The D_200 family of dry screw pumps is ideal for vapor recovery of processchemicals and solvents. This makes them the ultimate system to have –saving energy, emissions and most importantly, operating costs.Another feature of the dry pumps is that they can be either direct cooled orindirect cooled depending on the application. An optional air cooling arrangementcan even be provided to ease installation. The direct cooling processallows a greater degree of temperature control, especially important whenhandling potentially combustible gases. Engineered systems capture condensablesat the discharge, reducing emissions. Specially designed hybridsystems can achieve 25,000 m 3 /h (14,000 cfm) and beyond when largercapacities are needed.nash_elmo D_200 Dry Pro® rotary screw vacuum pumps aremanufactured to ISO 9001:2000 standards and are ATEX compliant.
