This type of agriculture does not solve anything, it creates<br />

worse - the relocated becomes a refugee in their own<br />

country. ...... and the agric corporation/foreign investment<br />

becomes rich but does not share - IMMORAL!<br />

Columbus, OH The impact of relocation will certainly create an irreversible<br />

calamity, which will add to a regional problem in Somalia,<br />

with the potential to spread to Sudan & Kenya. If these<br />

Ethiopian lands show farming potential at large scales, why<br />

can't the government undertake this endeavor locally to<br />

benefit its people than selling land internationally; except<br />

that it is for the benefit of a few?<br />

I fail to understand how the world body can allow such a<br />

devious program to be undertaken by a corrupt<br />

government, in concert with a few greedy international<br />

investors, at the demise of a people. Moving is not a<br />

readily welcome process, and we all know even with<br />

convenient urban amenities how much of a hassle it is, let<br />

alone moving entire villages en-mass, for what, financial<br />

benefit of a few.<br />

We cannot, and should not allow these draconian behavior<br />

to continue to punctuate our legacies. It is very convenient<br />

and equally appalling for the U.S. to support and be in<br />

cahoots with Meles Zenawi and his repressive regime in<br />
