transparency, accountability and that prevents/discourages
active investigation of how resources are being utilized, the
transfer of millions hectares of farmlands in the name of
development, to foreign investors and to few ruling party
favored domestic investors with out consultation and
consent of the local innhabitants, who have no other
means of leaving other than their land will not create
long-term benefits to local inhabitants and to the people of
Ethiopia as awhole. Overall the act is a disaster on the
ecosystem and future existance of the indigenous people
in particular and a potentiall danger to Ethiopia's
sovereignty in general.
