Where mutual agreement has been reached for workschedules at the local level, copies <strong>of</strong> such schedules shall be submitted to the Employer and to the Union.7.1 Hours <strong>of</strong> Work – <strong>Retail</strong> and Licensee <strong>Stores</strong> and <strong>Warehouse</strong> Operations(a)Work schedules for full-time regular employees shall be based on the following shift patterns:(1) Four times 8¾-hour shifts (4:3); plus an additional one hour every three weeks to meetthe annual hours <strong>of</strong> work requirements.(2) Five times 7 – hour shifts (5:2);(3) Nine-day fortnight consisting <strong>of</strong>One week <strong>of</strong> four times 8¾–hour shifts andOne week <strong>of</strong> five time 7-hour shifts, plus an additional one hour every six weeks tomeet the annual hours <strong>of</strong> work requirements (5:2;4:3);(4) Two weeks <strong>of</strong> five times 7½-hour shifts (5:2) and one week <strong>of</strong> four times 7½-hourshifts (4:3) [5:2; 5:2; 4:3](5) Nine-day fortnight <strong>of</strong> nine times 7-hour and 47 minute shifts (5:2;4:3).(6) Variable shift pattern based on A four-day 35-hour week (4:3); or A five-day 35-hour week (5:2); or A nine-day fortnight consisting <strong>of</strong> one four-day 35-hour week and one five-day 35-hour week (4:3;5:2).Shift lengths pursuant to this shift pattern will be no shorter than five hours per workdayand no longer than 10 hours per workday.(b) Work schedules will be based on 70 hours worked biweekly except (4) which will be basedon 105 hours worked over three weeks.(c)No employee will be required to work split shifts.(d) Where applicable, day, afternoon or night shifts shall be assigned equitably on a rotational basisunless mutually agreed to at the local level.7.2 Days <strong>of</strong>f(a)<strong>Retail</strong> and Licensee <strong>Stores</strong>The Employer agrees that when a regular full-time employee wishes their days <strong>of</strong>f to be consecutivethey will be rotated so that they will have two consecutive days <strong>of</strong>f at least once per month. Suchconsecutive days <strong>of</strong>f will be either Saturday and Sunday, or Sunday and Monday. Where operationalrequirements permit an employee will be given the opportunity to elect their preference in this regard.(b)<strong>Warehouse</strong> OperationsThe Employer agrees that when a regular full-time employee wishes their day <strong>of</strong>f to be consecutivethey will be rotated so that they will have two consecutive days <strong>of</strong>f at least once per month. Suchconsecutive days <strong>of</strong>f will be Saturday and Sunday.(c) Where operational requirements permit, an employees days <strong>of</strong>f may be scheduled on an equitablebasis to allow for days <strong>of</strong>f prior to or following statutory holidays or vacation.
